Sunday, January 24, 2010 Y 9:12 PM yesterday: they sound worlds apart from lee hon hee, son dong won, hon in jeon and ohm sae jin. haha, i sound like a pro in korean names eh? thats cause i went to the airport yesterday with jordan, keith and wister to pick up the 4 members of the Taekwondo Peace Corps. we had to wait for close to 1 hour for them to come out after their plane landed cause they had problems with their luggage. but yeah, it was fun. especially trying to speculate on who our guests were from the people coming out from the arrival gate. so we chatted about tkd and stuff on the way to hotel, and like even the Koreans idolizes STJ. fooyoh! anyway the bus driver drove us past marina barrage, and they were wow-ed by the scenery and the flyer. singapore ftw! they checked into the hotel, and we went for supper at boon tong kee with keith's parents and lanetar. auntie janet and lanetar tricked the korean girl in jeon, by telling her the century egg she ate was made from soaking eggs in horses' urine. her face changed from :) to =.=" literally. ok, so everyone went home to rest after supper. shagged. today: woke up early in the morning at 7 plus to go kovan for club grading. not much comments for it yeah? i like money's shoes though. and just that, i might seem antisocial, but i will not bite nor snap, so what's up with those faces. =.= left there at 10 plus, and cabbed to loykee chicken rice at balestier to meet jordan, wister and the TPC guys. they had singaporean-styled lo ti, and they liked it! (you didn't read wrongly, the chicken rice place serves kaya toast) went to ntc for training, and the TPC guys are quite pro, even though they aren't technically kyorugi players. the girls are majoring in poomsae in university and hon hee majors in shinbom, which is sorta like the super pro sort of demo. (yes yes, you didn't read wrongly again, the korean universities have taekwondo as a course, like how business, law, medicine etc. are offered in singapore universities) well, so sam sir took training, but they corrected our kicks and stuff, super pro. training ended, and since there was the coaching course, like 5 to 10 people couldn't make it to celebrate halim's birthday. and since there was the coaching course, we couldn't celebrate in ntc either. we went to whampoa market/hawker centre instead, and we sang the birthday song LOUDLY in the middle of the hawker centre. one word: PAISEH. haha, but it was fun yeah! hmm, so i left after lunch, and came home sleep and fifa-ed. :D going around with the TPC people again tmr i think. p.s. "An nyoung ha seh yo, Che irumen Daryl imnida" - hello, i'm daryl. sometimes, it's so difficult to say this few words uh? be friendly girl, i hope you would be friendly. if i can't say those words to you in english, at least let me try in other languages. korean, chinese, malay, all sorts of languages, i would do it.

Saturday, January 16, 2010 Y 11:15 PM oh man, my eyelids are barely able to stay open, but yet i don't feel like going to bed now. and nope, you aren't going to read a long long post about my life and the hoo-hah happenings which might and might not have occured. i'm plain not in the mood to talk about all those, but i think its cause of the woozy woozy state i'm in aha. highlights of the week: 1. O lvl HMT results 2. kbox 3. met wei yang and fadhil in rjc. nicely done bebs! 4. prata house brunch 5. lunch with wei jian 6. caught JUMP! (tiao chu qu) 7. centralised grading 8. japanese cute-song drumming arcade game 9. MOF Jap restaurant yeah thats all. oh and chelsea's leading now. i'm sort of happy. oh oh..... Take me far far away Secret love, are you there Will you answer my prayer Please take me anywhere but here Anywhere but here Saturday, January 9, 2010 Y 12:24 PM first tournament of the year, and i'm off to a good start. yeppers, i got gold for the elite youth taekwondo championships held yesterday. gold baby, gold! results of the tournament was also very good. first bout, was up 18-0 in the middle of 2nd round when the opponent's coach decided to throw in the towel. second bout (finals), was against wister. didn't really perform up to my expectations, since i fight him so many times already, and i knew what to do, just that i didn't do it. won it by 4-1, and surprisingly, i did a jumping reverse kick which could've and would've hit wister's head if not for him bending down. damn! haha. I WILL WORK HARDER!!!!!!! by the way, thanks for all those who cheered and supported and encouraged me for my match. i really appreciated it! special thanks goes out to coach and sir john boy for specially coming down to coach me for my match even though i fought 2 bouts but it stretched over 3hours plus.
but then, here's my dilemma: how to lose 1.5kg by today so that i can fight senior-finweight tomorrow for asian championships selections. i can't go running, cause of my injured legs, argh sian. Thursday, December 31, 2009 Y 7:45 PM hello world. in a few, it'll be the new year. new year, new beginnings! i can't wait for 2010. i had the BIG fortune of being featured on tessa's blog, so what the heck, i just decided to use the pic too!  team outing on tuesday to watch AVATAR! oh yeah, the movie is awesome. its super worth the money to go and watch, esp paying more to catch it in 3D. oh and i learnt my lesson of sitting one row down from the mats/matbengs - kena popcorn shower throughout the entire movie, courtesy of daniele, halim and wister. when i left my seat to go for a toilet break, and back again, i felt the crunch when my butt crushed the popcorn on my seat. =.= went to eat at some indonesian restaurant after the movie cause we got attitude-d by the pizza hut staff. the indo-food was nice, albeit spicy. anyway whats a main course without dessert? the rest had azabu sabo ice cream afterwards while i stoned, cause i was in the mood for cake instead of ice cream. pooooh, when you be picky, you usually don't get either, which was the case with me. since no one wanted to accompany me to secret recipe. ): went to play pool after that cause the bowling queue was loooong and most of us had to leave. went for SP training at night and it was fun as usual. ming hao had a bad bad fall and got knocked out. scary, but luckily he came around in 5 mins. alot of people accompanied him to A&E after that. continued training with the rest, can't slack! YOG trials next week! sparred with ys at the end of the class, and i think i improved from last time. :D ys jiayou, i want to see you get gold in IVP man. after training went for supper at chomp chomp. me, coach, sir jb, allen LCH, lao shi, sir deves and sherwyn. HAD ALOT OF FUN SIA. aights, that is just the update for tuesday.... got to leave to go sherwyn's hse for countdown now. :) haha. when i come back tmr den update. BYE BYE! UPDATE - 1/1/2010, 8.43pm hello i'm back, and continuing with my update :D firstly, I'M AS HELL PISSED OFF CAUSE MY WHITE SHOES HAVE SOME SICK RUSTIC-COLORED STAIN. =.= okay moving on to wednesday. met up with my RI4L09 classmates to catch a movie since it has been eons since we went out - everyone have been going overseas except for me. watched sherlock holmes, which i think the plot was perfectly fabricated. the details of everything was thought out wonderfully. its definitely a must watch man! after movie, went to walk around in orchard central and somerset 313. i see the word "SALES" everywhere, but alas, i'm going to stick to my resolution of being a spendthrift and NOT splurge whatever available cash i have. left at around 5 plus to meet wen min, and went for suying's bbq at punggol. alemak, we were desperately trying to pronounce the word "kadaloor" on the lrt, and we totally missed kenneth aka toot de. the rest of the KCPPS6C05 came later. had a tough time starting the fire cause someone piled on too much charcoal. poooooh! bbqed and chatted. fun ya! thursday/yesterday was spent waking up late, and watching inglorious basterds online. WUNDERBAR! okayye, i think i watched too many movies in a week haha. went sherwyn's hse at night. met lao shi at mrt first before taking a bus there. bbq-ed, and mahjonged before countdown. coach and sir jb reached slightly before we counted down. and crapppp uh, i didn't prepare my cam, and i DIDN'T get any footage of the countdown ): played bridge afterwards, where the 4 insane pple, sherwyn, jin wei, sir deves and i seriously went HIGH playing. don't ask me how we could get high playing bridge, but i think the biggest factor was sherwyn's choya. played/slack/crapped the whole night, and i got LIGHTHEADED (read: lightheaded, NOT drunk) halfway through, so i behaved crazyily and retardedly while playing rockband. oh my..... i feel like crap. slept at 6 plus, and woke up ard 10 to go for brunch at jalan kayu. sherwyn's parents are super friendly! the rest went ecp to cycle or blade while i, the small boy, went home. and THAT concludes everything. ok, bye. i'm still feeling like crap :(
Sunday, December 27, 2009 Y 9:09 PM oh well, 2009 is coming to a close, and we'll be ushering in the next decade soon. i just realized that 2010 holds so much hope for me, where its a year that i really need to manage my time properly, and stick to my guns, otherwise everything will go downhill. so.... here's a list of new year's resolution which i HOPE to follow. 1. juggle tkd and studies well, by not succumbing to distractions like hot girls, and computer games. 2. not to get retained in JC1 and also to get decent grades. 3. win the elite youth championships in suntec. 4. improve in tkd, advance a round in YOG (if i make it), and i'm being super realistic here. 5. must get gold medals in all local tkd competitions. 6. make more friends in rijc, not limiting to the opposite sex only. 7. STOP being a spendthrift. 8. STOP being an ass to some people, and for a change, be the nicest i can. 9. learn/improve on a skill/sport/whatever, like being better at the guitar. i suck at it. 10. STOP being vulgar. no more vulgarities and acting like a CAB, except in situations where the rule "when in rome, do as the romans do" apply. oh and pointing the middle finger isn't including as a vulgarity. the above, are LOTS of stuff which i probably will break in 2010, but hey, i PROMISE to try my best not to do any of the above! 2010, FIGHTING!
